Koushik has been working with IdlyGo for the last 6–7 months. Before that, he was a salesperson for Milvik Health Care Solutions earning ₹14,000 per month. He left that job after 4 months owing to the work pressure.

On the other hand, Koushik says, his work at IdlyGo has brought a sense of freedom to his life. Not least, financial freedom as he now makes

₹20,000–22,000 per month selling about 220 plates each day.

He targets to increase his efficiency to selling 250 plates a day. He is so proud of the Company that he takes time to convince every customer that the idlys are made fresh under hygienic conditions. As a result, his customers look forward to IdlyGo stalls being present in more locations around the city. He says his customers particularly relish the chutney served with the idlys.

Koushik lives with his family in Birati. Bot his parents do not work, while his wife is a housewife and his brother paints homes for a living. His only child is a year and a half old.

After joining IdlyGo, Koushik has become more passionate about his work. Earlier, his thought process was like that of a salesperson, however now he thinks of himself as a budding entrepreneur, which has boosted his self-esteem. The more he sells, the more he earns and the more he can provide for his family. No wonder then that Koushik wants to be associated with IdlyGo till he retires.

Working at IdlyGo has also made him more disciplined. Koushik was never an early riser but now he is awake at 6 am to catch the 6.30 am train to work. The early bird incentive, to which he has become accustomed, keeps him punctual.

Previously, Koushik’s finances were in a less than desirable state with bills and loan payments piling up. Now, he is able to pay his dues on time, for which he is most grateful. He manages to apportion a significant part of his income for his household and will soon complete construction of a home. Needless to say, both he and his family feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful organisation.
